He realised many newcomers to golf were unfamiliar with some traditional attire expectations, meanwhile the sport had relaxed its apparel rules to appeal to new players.<\/p>Unable to find suitable options that blended modern style with course-approved attire, Oli saw an opportunity and Lockwood Golf was born \u2013 made for the new adopters, by the new adopters.<\/p>
Oli leveraged his role to identify and develop this new brand, with co-founders Mike Kent and Tom Ward in full support of his intrapreneurial spirit. Through his expertise in marketing and brand development, he successfully transformed an internal idea into a full product line.<\/p>
Oli Brierley, co-founder of Lockwood Golf, said: \u201cLockwood Golf started as a conversation about polos and belt-looped shorts, but it quickly became much more. We realised there was a gap in the market for apparel that speaks to the new generation of golfers, those who appreciate tradition but want to bring their own style and attitude to the game.<\/p>
